Another Sunday. Where did Saturday go? Where do Friday nights go? Where have the past few months gone? What am I even doing anymore? I'm alone in my basement waiting for my friends to log on to a game so I can talk to someone. Where are my other friends and why can't I reach out to them? Why don't I know what I am doing with myself or my life? Everyone tells me how good a person I am and how smart I am....why don't I feel that way? I make so many promises to myself, but I do nothing. I do nothing. Why even try? I just don't know where to start and I hate it. This just isn't working for me anymore and I'm scared I won't be able to get it together. I think I need someone to talk to.
First and foremost, I see you. I see all the effort you’ve made so far, and I hear your frustration. It can be really hard to reach out for therapy, and I’m so glad you’re considering it.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with experience working with young adults, adults, and elders on the issues that matter. The relationship we build in therapy is very important to me. I create a space for you to be truly yourself, and I strive to understand you, and welcome you to correct me, stop me, and even call me out if I’m missing something. This is truly your time and space.
I consider myself person-centered. I’m inquisitive and love to learn and listen. My goal is to provide a non-judgmental and safe environment for you to explore what’s on your mind and create change. I believe in a strengths-based approach so I listen for your strengths and where you can be further empowered. I look at the work we do together as being flowing and not rigid and I strive to meet you exactly where you are. Together we can explore how you can make the changes you’re longing for.
At this time, I accept Husky/Medicaid, Anthem BCBS, and Optum/United/Connecticare/Oxford and am in the process of contracting with Cigna/Evernorth, and Aetna.
