Dear Journal:

It’s been one of those days. One thing after another after another. I am so overwhelmed so frustrated, mad, distraught - everything negative you can think of. Why does everyone make life out to be so fun and easy? Its not! I literally feel like I’m sinking… like no matter how hard I try to be positive, to think happy thoughts, to try affirmations…it’s all such a joke.  And really all I want is my family’s approval - I’ve worked so hard to get it but it seems like all I’ve worked for is trash. Time after time after time: “You’re so much smarter than that. You could do so much better. “ Sometimes I can’t even sleep with their comments in my head, and sometimes I question if it’s their comments or maybe they are my thoughts too…

Anyway, I can’t keep doing this - I feel like shit and I’m at my breaking point. I’ve been told therapy can help, I guess I’m ready to find out.

I’m glad you found my webpage. I can help! Our work will focus on understanding who you are and how you can feel confident in your choices.

I am an LMFT at Beehive Counseling with experience working with individual children and adults. I work with people ages 12 and up and love using DBT, mindfulness, and play and art therapy to help people heal from traumatic life experiences. I also work with individuals struggling in their relationships.

My Approach:

We’ll work together to co-create goals. If you’d like to take the lead, I’m here for it. If you need a little more structure, that’s okay too. It’s my hope that you’ll experience therapy with me as a safe and creative space to be your whole self, and to grow. You’ve got big dreams - don’t give up on them.

Does insurance cover the cost of therapy sessions?

At this time, I take Anthem BCBS, Husky/Medicaid and Optum/Connecticare/United. I anticipate contracting with Aetna, and Cigna/Evernorth in the next months. I will also work with your out of network (OON) benefits and offer a sliding scale.
